Understanding Financial Fraud

This presentation will offer insight and an overview for attorneys to consider in mitigating and assessing fraud loss for their clients and within their own firms.

The CLE will cover Risk Trends, Liability Assessment and an overview of Regulation E (12 CFR Part 1005) Kansas Statute (UCC Article 4) and Case Law relating to ACH, Check and Wire Fraud liability.

Presenter Jamie Cosgrove

Jamie Cosgrove, JD is Manager of the Kansas Bankers Association Legal Department where she works with a team of attorneys and compliance specialists assisting Kansas banks with legal, regulatory and compliance inquiries and trainings. She completed her law degree after nearly twenty years of working as a commercial banker in Colorado and Kansas, including managing problem loan workouts and asset sales. Additionally, she evaluated underwriting risk for commercial loan portfolios and oversaw retail banking deposit transactions as a Market President.   As an attorney, Jamie worked in private practice, focusing on business transactional law and estate planning before joining the Kansas Bankers Association legal department.
