CLE Policies & Requirements
The TBA is a provider of CLE in Topeka, KS and, as a CLE provider, we strive to help Kansas lawyers achieve the highest standards of competence, ethics, and professionalism. In doing so, we offer many CLE courses each year, via a variety of formats: in-person, live webcast, and on-demand. Check out our CLE calendar at https://www.topekabar.com/events and our on-demand catalog at https://www.topekabar.com/CLEs. All our CLE seminars are accredited in Kansas, and many are accredited in Missouri as well.Attorneys with active Kansas licenses are required to complete 12 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) each year. Two of those 12 hours must be in the area of professional responsibility (ethics). There are no longer any limits on distance learning (online/telephone) courses. The limitations were permanently removed with the rule changes that were adopted in the Summer of 2021. An attorney may attend up to eight hours in one day, in any format (online/telephone/in-person). There is no cap on prerecorded programming. The Rules can be found on the Kansas CLE website at https://www.kscle.org/faq#lawyer.MaterialsAll our program materials are offered in electronic format and are sent to registrants via email in advance or following the program.
