The Topeka Bar Association presents attorneys in the Topeka and Shawnee County area with an organization that provides networking opportunities with other attorneys in the area, fun events, and continuing legal education. The objectives of the Topeka Bar Association are:

To raise, keep and maintain the high ideals of the legal profession.
To do such things as may reasonably promote learning, respect and appreciation of the law, the legal profession, and the administration of justice.

Active Member - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Half-Price Membership for the Rest of the Membership Year! Any lawyer in good standing as a member of the bar of a state, territory or possession of the United States, and any member of the judiciary who is a resident of, or offices in Shawnee County, Jackson County, Jefferson County, Wabaunsee County or Osage County, may become an active member of the Association by paying annual dues.

Associate Member - $45.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Half-Price Membership for the Rest of the Membership Year! The TBA offers any lawyer in good standing as a member of the bar of a state, territory or possession of the United State, who is not a resident of, and whose employer or law firm has no offices in Shawnee County, Jackson County, Jefferson County, Wabaunsee County or Osage County, a (non-voting) membership of the Association by paying a discount of the regular membership dues rate.

Emeritus Member - $30.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Half-Price Membership for the Rest of the Membership Year! Any lawyer in good standing who has voluntarily taken inactive status with the Kansas Supreme Court or any bar of a state, territory or possession of the United States and is no longer actively engaged in the practice of law may become a (non-voting) member of the Association by paying a discount of the regular membership dues rate.

First Year Attorney - Variable Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Congratulations on passing the Kansas Bar! The TBA provides newly admitted attorneys a free membership for their first year of practice.

Government Attorney - $56.50 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Half-Price Membership for the Rest of the Membership Year! The TBA offers a discounted membership rate for attorneys and judges in public service.

Honorary - Variable Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments The Board of Directors may elect any person who has attained unusual distinction or has contributed significantly to the enhancement of the legal profession, as an honorary member of the Association.

Law Student - Variable Subscription period: 1 year, on: September 1st No automatically recurring payments Any law students in good standing at an accredited Kansas law school may become a non-voting member of the Association.

New Attorney (Practicing for 5 Years or Less - $62.50 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments Half-Price Membership for the Rest of the Membership Year! The TBA offers attorneys admitted to the Bar for five years or less a discounted membership rate.

TBA Event Subscriber - Variable Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No automatically recurring payments As a TBA Event Subscriber, you’ll receive email updates with event announcements and general news from the Topeka Bar Association. Please note, this is a non-voting status, and subscribers will be required to pay non-member pricing for events. To take advantage of exclusive pricing and other member benefits, you would need to become a full TBA member.
