The discussion will include traps for the unwary attorney regarding asset distribution of private, federal government and military pension systems. 

Adina Morse is a partner with the firm Barnhill & Morse, P.A., in Lawrence, Kansas.  Adina’s legal expertise is in division of assets pursuant to divorce, QDROs, federal, and military division orders, and probate matters with a focus on guardianship and conservatorship.

Adina is an approved Core, Civil, and Domestic Mediator, and Domestic Arbitrator and Conciliator in Kansas.  Adina has a strong domestic mediation practice, which includes divorce, custody, parenting plans, and the division of complex marital assets.  Adina is currently a member of the Douglas County Domestic Mediation Panel, and a panel member of Associates in Dispute Resolution with offices in Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City, Missouri.  Adina was appointed to serve on the Advisory Council on Dispute Resolution by Chief Justice Marla Luckert, and was recently appointed to the Access to Justice Committee of the Kansas Bar Association. 

Adina received her Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall Law School in 2002.  She also has an MS in Community Health and Psychology, and BA in Philosophy from the University of Kansas.
