Criminal Appellate Update. This program will have a review and discussion of criminal appellate cases.

Natalie Chalmers & Jodi Litfin

Natalie Chalmers is a 2007 University of Kansas Law school graduate.  She started her appellate career as a Research Attorney with the Kansas Court of Appeals.  She then worked as an appellate prosecutor at the Shawnee County District Attorney's Office before joining the Solicitor's Division of the Office of the Kansas Attorney General.  Along with writing briefs and arguing cases before the Kansas appellate courts, Natalie's duties as an Assistant Solicitor General include reviewing the briefs written by other prosecutors on behalf of the State of Kansas in criminal and post-conviction appeals.  She has also had the opportunity to work on each of the Kansas cases the United States Supreme Court agreed to hear since she joined the office in 2011.

Jodi Litfin graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2010.  Jodi is an Assistant Solicitor General at the Office of the Attorney General, where she represents the State of Kansas in criminal appeals before the Kansas Appellate Courts and assists with other post-conviction matters. Previously, Jodi worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office.
