Program Description:
Election Law and the 2020 Election
In the months since the 2020 election, our American electoral process played out like a sequel to House of Cards. Lost in all the drama is the fact that that our system of elections largely worked as designed.
How could that be possible? Here in Kansas, we generally knew the results of legislative elections before going to bed, but it took until Thanksgiving to obtain certainty over the presidential election.
Over the course of this session, we’ll take a look at how our system is set to work, both nationally and at home in Kansas, before diving into the drama that was the 2020 presidential election.
